About the Author
J. Grant Crawford was born in 1947 to an imaginative mother and a multi-career father in Long Beach, California. Eccentric grandparents, world travel, and encounters with quixotic strangers informed his childhood.
A keen observer of humans and nature, he spent a lifetime developing his craft as an artist, a teacher, and a family man. Several of his sculptures adorn parks and grace churches in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, where he moved in the mid-seventies.
With his friends Les and Frank, he joined the Grand Forks Writers Guild in beautiful British Columbia. And then he began to chronicle his early adventures faithfully. Inspiring to, and beloved by, his fellow writers, he shared rich anecdotes: glad, sad, and just plain curious. His church and community knew him well for his quiet service to the unfortunate, his quirky cartoons, and his rescues of damsels in distress.
Through this memoir, his unique and perspicacious first publication, Crawford delights and soothes souls of all ages, stages, and experiences. He was too humble to toot his own horn, so a dear friend wrote this bio on his behalf.
